St Ives

Once we’d polished off our pasties, we set off again on the short but uneventful journey up to the north coast, where we’d booked into the 4 star Ayr Holiday Park in St Ives for the next two nights. According to their brochure, the site enjoyed ‘beautiful coast views’ and had a ‘superbly equipped shower and toilet block’ which, after the rather disappointing washrooms at the other campsite, I was keen to try out. We’d been particularly looking forward to staying there as we had fond memories of St Ives and, as an added bonus, the site was within easy walking distance of the town centre and beaches.
